چکیده

Hadoop MapReduce assists companies and researchers to deal with processing large volumes of data. Hadoop has a lot of configuration parameters that must be tuned in order to obtain a better application performance. However, the best tuning of the parameters is not easily obtained by inexperienced users. Therefore, it is necessary to create environments that promote and motivate information sharing and knowledge dissemination. In addition, it is important that all acquired knowledge be organized to be reused faster, easily and efficiently whenever necessary. This paper proposes an ontology-based semantic approach to tuning parameters to improve Hadoop application performance. The approach integrates techniques from machine learning, semantic search and ontologies. Keywords—Hadoop MapReduce; Hadoop performance; ontology; parameters turning

An Executive Approach Based On the Production of Fuzzy Ontology Using the Semantic Web Rule Language Method (SWRL)

Today, the need to deal with ambiguous information in semantic web languages is increasing. Ontology is an important part of the W3C standards for the semantic web, used to define a conceptual standard vocabulary for the exchange of data between systems, the provision of reusable databases, and the facilitation of collaboration across multiple systems. However, classical ontology is not enough ...

A New Ontology-Based Approach for Human Activity Recognition from GPS Data

Mobile technologies have deployed a variety of Internet–based services via location based services. The adoption of these services by users has led to mammoth amounts of trajectory data. To use these services effectively, analysis of these kinds of data across different application domains is required in order to identify the activities that users might need to do in different places. Researche...

Query Architecture Expansion in Web Using Fuzzy Multi Domain Ontology

Due to the increasing web, there are many challenges to establish a general framework for data mining and retrieving structured data from the Web. Creating an ontology is a step towards solving this problem. The ontology raises the main entity and the concept of any data in data mining. In this paper, we tried to propose a method for applying the "meaning" of the search system, But the problem ...

Exploiting Incremental Reasoning in Healthcare Based on Hadoop and Amazon Cloud

With a large volume of semantic data and their fast growth in semantic cities, significant challenges in performing efficient and scalable reasoning has emerged in diverse domains. When dealing with large-scale ontologies, the performance of traditional centralized reasoning methods is not sufficient, distributed reasoning methods have thus emerged to improve the scalability and efficiency of i...

Developing a BIM-based Spatial Ontology for Semantic Querying of 3D Property Information

With the growing dominance of complex and multi-level urban structures, current cadastral systems, which are often developed based on 2D representations, are not capable of providing unambiguous spatial information about urban properties. Therefore, the concept of 3D cadastre is proposed to support 3D digital representation of land and properties and facilitate the communication of legal owners...
